New York Fashion Week: Cut-Outs, Colors, and Cultural Influences

Everything from Cut-Outs, Colors, and Cultural Influences for New York's Fashion Week. I love mentioning my favorite designers, but I wanted to change it up and post runway photos from designers I don't necessarily follow as much in order to familiarize myself with more talent. From designers such as, Alexandre Herchcovitch adding his touch of Russian inspiration from the U.S.S.R with a dab of classic-punk; Anna Sui who added worldly inspirations along with Art Nouveau, and prints, fabrics, and a handful of decorative elements; Christian Cota was inspired by Cubism along with tearing apart and reconstructing pieces back together again like a short skirt combined with a colorful sleeveless top; Mulberry's inspiration was derived from the "Valley of the Dolls, naughty English royalty, Hollywood Theatricals, and over-the-top animal prints," stated from Romney Leader from Style.com; and Sass & Bide was inspired by Africa and India while creating ikat prints in black and white, harem pants, and decorative details. After viewing the different New York Fashion Shows online I was influenced by different arts, photography, cultures, and styles that complemented the collections I've seen tying them to African, Russian, Hippie/Boho chic, and Punk influences.
